Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Model Number EF200D

Does this ceiling fan need to be lubricated from time to time or is it self-lubricating?

If the answer is yes, how is it done?

Hello nchip51 and thank you for your question.  I believe that the Model No. EF200DA-52 is the 52” Colby Quick-Install Ceiling Fan.  Since the motor has permanently lubricated sealed ball bearings, there is no need to oil your fan.  The Owner’s Manual has additional information about the care and maintenance of your fan.

Best wishes with your project.

Eileen,

Am in need of the installation manual for a Hampton Bay EF200D (dual lighting) ceiling fan. It is not the same manual as you posted below. Do you have this?

Hello singincwby66 and welcome to the Community.  We are glad that you are here.

I found a data plate for the Model EF200D which shows UPC 082392-345563.  This is the 52 inch Redington III ceilng fan which does not have dual lighting.  (That manual can be referenced below this post.)

Our Hampton Bay team can help you, however we need the SKU or UPC number to correctly identify the ceiling fan; we cannot research the fan based upon the model number alone.  Can you locate the 12 digit UPC code (all numbers – no letters) found on the sticker on top of the motor housing?  Be sure to switch off the correct breaker before removing the motor housing.  If you will be using a ladder, place it on a level surface and be sure to have a helper spot you.  The ladder will need to support your weight as well as the weight of the ceiling fan.

Once you have the UPC, send it to us or call the Hampton Bay Team at 1-877-527-0313 and select option 2.  We will be able to obtain the correct manual for you.

We look forward to hearing from you.
