Hampton Bay Ceiling fan grinding sound fix?

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan, model AC-552 I believe?  And there is an awful grinding sound that it makes in  certain area.  I sounds like the middle section of the fan that holds the blades is bottoming out on the bottom section of the fan that hold the light.  How do I fix this issue as it is driving me crazy when trying to sleep?

You might want to check to make sure the screws that hold the fan arms (that's the metal part that the blade attaches to) are tight.



You may have to remove the light kit first.
