Hampton Bay Fan Lights Wont Turn Off With Remote after bulb blown

I Have A Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan UPC: 082392322557 MODEL: 52A4HR4T
I turn on the lights and a bulb blown so I get a new bulb and tried to turn off lights with remote but they still stay on. I try the fan speeds, fan off, and reverse buttons and they work fine just not the lights. is it part that I can get or I'm out of luck?

Hey macaro1,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

It sounds like the issue lies with a faulty receiver, since the fan speed is fine (that could be a capacitor issue if that was the case).

I couldn't track down the UPC and Model #  here, but you can contact Hampton Bay with the number shown below.

I say contact them first, as your existing receiver may need to be purchased directly from them.

If the receiver itself is in the ceiling canopy above the motor housing, then you can purchase a universal remote control for a ceiling fan at your local Home Depot. These types are simple to replace, and doesn't require you to take down the ceiling fan (with a downrod) at all.

However, call Hampton Bay directly first to make sure you get the right direction for the right receiver.

Let us know if you have any further questions,

Joseph
