Hampton Bay Windward II Model 523-342  - light doesn't respond to remote.

 

The fan responds to fan speed changes. 

The fan correctly interprets the remote temperature setting and speeds up or slows down.

 

The fan does not turn off after three minutes when the light delay function is selected.  The delay function appears on the remote, and goes away after three minutes, but the light remains on.

 

The light will not shut off with a momentary press of the button.

The light will not dim or brighten  when button is held, however the display on the remote does cycle up to, and down from, 100%.

Thanks for reaching out & for locating the SKU number. We can help you with this, but we would still need the UPC as this series has been made by more than one manufacturer. The 12 digit UPC (looks like 123456-123456), is found on a sticker on the top of the motor housing (also on receipt & barcode on box). I've attached a picture of the sticker the UPC/SKU is on so you can find it easily.

If this cannot be located, a picture of the fan will be needed to identify, then we can get you to the tech support department for the specific fan you have. (We have several HB manufacturers who provide tech support for the items they produce for Hampton Bay.)
