Hampton bay model fan28r-240w receiver problem

I bought fan with remote- receiver 8 months aged. Was working fine after installation till today  . Suddenly stopped working . I removed the receiver and connected fan and light directly to test if any problem with fan and light .  both work fine . I replaced remote batteries first of all. Remote shows digital display (room temp, setting manual auto etc etc). 

Seems problems with receiver .

 

what is the best and cheapest solution? If need replacement will I have to buy both receiver and remote? Even if one works fine. any repair possible? Suggestions please.

Hello Harjindersekhon.  Welcome to the Community!

 

Given that your ceiling fan is still in warranty, I would recommend that you contact our Hampton Bay support team to get a replacement receiver.

While the information on the receiver should be helpful to the support team, they may also want the UPC code from the fan motor housing.  It will look like this:
