Hi BMullikin,

Dishwasher leaks can be from one or more sources.

You indicated you changed the door gasket so I am assuming the water is appearing on the floor in front of the dishwasher. Make sure the door is not bent or twisted and the latch is working properly.

The next item I would check is the float in the tub. The float controls the fill valve and stops it when the tub has the correct amount of water.

A bad float will allow the dishwasher to overfill and it will overflow when it runs.

If the float is ok, then check the water supply line and the fill valve. Are there any leaks? Are the connections tight or is the line dripping?

If all looks good at the dishwasher, check the connection at the shutoff valve. If water is leaking there, it can travel down the water line to the floor.

Check the drain hose are the connections tight? Is the hose damaged? Do you have an air gap installed? If so check those connections as well. Water leaking at the sink can travel down the lines to the floor at the dishwasher.

If all of these items check out, you may have a leak at the motor gasket. The motor sits in the tub and the gasket seals the tub. If it’s leaking water will appear on the floor.

Finally if all of the above check out ok, you may have a leaking dishwasher tub, this is unlikely but it does happen.

If that’s the case, a new dishwasher may be in order.

Let us know what you find.
