How To Select Nursery Colors

My customer, Chris, and his wife are having their first child and she sent him to The Paint Pit to choose colors for the nursery.

During our chat, he described a wall already taped for alternating colors.

As a first step, we worked toward a dozen paper samples of mid-tones including tans, yellows, and greens.

Chris went home with his "treasure" and came back for three or four half-pint samples several hours later.

At home, Chris and his wife applied the samples and made their final selections based upon this grid (image below).

Visual confirmation completed with his wife, Chris came back and purchased paint and supplies to finish the project.

Have a look!

What I love most about this process is Chris didn't cut any corners.

He allowed each step to unfold, got confirmation, and then produced a great accent wall that works!

Great job Chris!

PROJECT NOTE:

Although Chris has several other rooms scheduled for paint before he paints his "Man Cave" in the basement, he is already planning ahead using Glidden's Team Colors brochure as a guide.
