Greetings Bluwater,

The Home Depot does sell a spray paint to frost glass. I have called my local store, and had them check the label for heat exposure.

As long as the internal heat, of the globe, does not exceed 200* Fahrenheit, it should do the trick. The label also specify not so repeated expose to water...So don't scrub it clean with water, maybe just wipe the inside clean with a cloth!

I would like to recomend a compact flouresent bulb, they dont give off much heat at all.

We also sell a great selection of replacement globes in the electrical department, if you decide to just replace it.

Bravo to you for being so clean, and thrifty...... you have inspired me to go home and at least dust!

Thanks for the great question, let me know how the re- frost turns out, or........on!!    Maureen
