Hi Phis in Ohio.

Peruvian Lilies (Alstroemerias) will do great in zones 7-10.  Depending on how severe your winter temperatures are, you may be able to over winter your Peruvian Lilies by just applying a heavy layer of mulch with peat moss in the fall.

If you have any planted in the ground, can also dig them up and store them in a damp potting mix until spring.  Make sure that this spot is in a temperature controlled environment.  Cool is good for storage, freezing cold is not.

Depending on where you have your pots placed, you may be able to bring some inside and keep them growing if you can provide them with a cool place indoors with sufficient sunlight.  Remember to reduce your watering during the winter months while they are inside.

If Alstroemeria are in the ground, they like to be left in one spot if possible.  It may take 2-3 seasons for this plant to re-establish itself once it is dug up.  Therein lies the problem if you have to dig up your Peruvian Lilies to save them in a harsher winter environment.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
