How do you make a heat register cover?

Ho do you make a heat register cover that is 11 " from the floor, 5 " in depth and 45" long?

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

 

I've never personally heard of anyone making a floor register cover; its something that would require soldering and blacksmith skills to acheive that. My former online colleague here TheHammer is an actual blacksmith who could do this, and it would take someone with not just skill, but materials and specific tools to get the job done.

 

From your specs, it sounds like its more of a baseboard diffuser, i.e. it comes out at an angle?

It can be done, but there are places I am sure in your area who can custom-build one for you. It all depends on your skill level, materials, and budget to do it yourself. However, it would be easy to have a pro do it for you.
