How many square feet will a gallon of paint cover?

I am remodeling my study area. The room is 10 feet wide and 11 feet 2 inches long. The ceiling is 8 feet high. There is one door (35 inches wide and 83 inches high, including molding) and 1 window (35 inches x 47 inches, and 34 inches from the floor). Both the door and the window are on the “long” wall of the room.

Currently the room has red painted walls from the floor to 34 inches high, and cream-colored painted walls from 34 inches to the 8 foot ceiling. You are changing colors of the walls, and will need to prime red area of the walls first, then apply 2 coats of paint to all the walls. the cost of paint (commute amount needed, cost/gallon, total cost

Hello pgonzales!

Most wall paints cover between 350- and 400-square feet.

Your room contains approximately 320-square feet of wall.

Each gallon you purchase will complete one coat over the entire room.

PRIMER FOLLOWED BY PAINT:

Expect to use one coat of primer and two coats of paint ... cost estimate $75.

PAINT AND PRIMER IN ONE:

Expect two coats of paint ... cost estimate $65.

For best results: keep your roller saturated with paint, allow the first coat of paint to dry six-hours, then apply the second coat.
