Hello sugarb45!

It is a little hard to tell which sealant you're describing ... there are many!

However, one of the most common repairs with roof sealants is closing a seam between shingles which is allowing water to leak through.

If this is your application, I would recommend Henry 209 if being applied to dry shingles or Henry 208R if being applied to wet shingles.

These products can be dispensed from caulk tubes or troweled-on from a bucket..

You would carefully pull up the edge of your shingles, without folding them back so far that they break, and apply a bead of sealant along the edge. Then gently press the shingles back into place.

Henry sealants will dry in several hours ... depending upon the heat and humidity.

Each tube contains approximately seventeen linear-feet of sealant.

If you had another sealant in mind, write back and we'll detail that product for you.
