Hello GAB and welcome to the community!

Changing from a single door to a double door involves reframing the opening, which means the 2x4 studs will need to be moved to create a larger opening and you will some possibly drywall work as well. The largest double door unit you can get are two 36" doors, similar to the picture below but they also come in different door styles.

You or your contractor would need to make the rough opening 74-5/8" wide by 82-7/16" high in order for the double 36" doors fit. If you want to go wider, The Home Depot can special order for you a mirrored sliding door unit that will fit up to 12 feet it all depends you you want.

Thanks for the info, the photo of doors appears to be exactly what I'm looking for. Do you know if Home Depot offers contractor services for this type of  install?
