How to make a hollow door bouncy?

I made a beer pong table last year, but I want to be able to use it to play other games that involce bouncing a ping pong ball.  However, the door I used to make it is hollow and has a lot of dead spots.  What can I do to make the door have more live spots?  I have already painted a cool design on the door, so I don't want to cover the top.  The back of it has a hole in it that I can access the inner portion.

Howdy Mpatel,

It sounds like you have a situation that's not a typical project. The thing to take into consideration is that density creates the "live spots". So you would need to add a solid filler like; sand, rocks, diamonds, or any solid substance you can come up with. I'm going to recommend you try some thing like Great Stuff expanding foam.

I would drill about 5-6 holes on the side of the door and fill-er up. After about a day of drying you can use a razor blade to shave off the excess and then paint the holes to match the door. Simple, easy, and effective.
