Hi wilfredjalexand,

Many high quality older knives used wooden handles which can be replaced or a new handle can be made.

Unfortunately, most knives today have molded plastic handles which are held on with rivets or roll pins. Removing these fasteners can be difficult at best.

Getting the fasteners out often results in damage to the already broken handle or to the blade.

Most knife makers do not offer replacement parts preferring that you simply buy a new knife.

The makers of high end high quality knives often offer a lifetime warranty, contact the manufacturer and they may send you a replacement at no charge.
