How to strip paint off cinder block?

Hi,

I am looking to strip paint off a cinder block wall without corroding it so no sand blasting. Also I cannot seem to find a soda blaster rental near me so thats not an option. I have heard of some chemical removers but those seem to be a mess and this is a huge wall so I woulnd't exactly know how to contain it. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Adam

Welcome to our community Adam!

My name is Christine and I work in the paint department at Home Depot.

Unfortunately, there isn't a quick and easy solution to removing paint from a cinder block wall. :(

If you are committed to removing the paint, using a stripper specifically for removing paint from concrete is going to be the best. Behr has a concrete and masonary stripper that is made for both vertical and horizontal surfaces.

Here are the application instructions from the Behr website:

I hope this helps you with your project. If you have any more questions let us know!
