I Hampton Bay 54" ceiling fan, name Caswyck, Model #560-084 , purchased January '07.

My fan which cost me just under $200, has a top and bottom light. It is managed via remote control. I just put in a new Halogen sconce bulb and I can't turn the light on. The fan works, the top light goes on, but the main bottom light which is essential in my environment won't work. I dont want to have to replace fan which I like a lot and is only 7 years old; is this a typical problem that can be resolved with a new part of some type? Thank you

The Hampton Bay Team can help you.  Contact them at 1-877-527-0313 and select option 2.  You will need to provide the UPC 718212-049136 for the Hampton Bay Caswyck ceiling fan so they can assist you.

Beyond the obvious possibility that the new bulb you installed is either bad or too high in wattage, I would say that we are looking at a worn out switch or an issue with a remote control/receiver.  For further diagnosis, parts and service for this fan please contact our Hampton Bay Customer Service team as shown below:
