I have a Workforce THD550 tile saw. After changing the blade, it runs backward. Why?

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

 

Your Workforce THD550 is a very sturdy saw, and even though it has been discontinued at our store, we still can troubleshoot your blade issue. I called the manufacturer's number at 1-866-513-6723 to speak to a representative.

The only thing that we both agreed on was that the saw blade was installed backwards. Try and reconfigure the blade and locking mechanism. This is the first time I've heard this issue with this saw.

 

Try this out, and if it still doesn't work for you, contact Workforce's hotline shown above in orange and you can speak to a representative in further detail. If you placed a non-segmented blade on the saw, having it run in either direction shouldn't ruin the integrity of the cut, unless the horsepower or stability of the motor was comprimised.
