I purchased sound board which is porous I tried to paint w/primer sealer does not work what can I do

The sound board is so porous it soakes into it I dont want to have to paper it but what can I use to finish it for bedroom wall

I'm a bit uncertain of the material your sound board is manufactured.

 

If it is fabric, you might try removing the fabric cover and tinting it with fabric dye to match your decor.

 

If you must use paint, try removing the fabric cover and misting three very light coats of spray paint; each coat about one-hour after the prior. This method would likely work regardless of the construction material, but be very careful not to get paint on your audio components.

 

If your sound board is other than fabric, reply with a little more detail and we'll try again.
