Installing laminate plank flooring

Does laminate plank flooring go under a toilet or around it?

It depends on if it a floating floor surface or directly stuck to the existing flooring.  A floating floor will move a little on you and might not appear to be fitting correctly.

If the planks directly attach to the floor then you could just cut around the toilet, but installing under the base is the best case scenario (just in case the toilet is replaced with a smaller version).

Laminate isn't the best choice for bathrooms because it doesn't tolerate water very well.  Basically if it gets too wet, it swells and the only fix is to replace it.
