Inswing Doors

We have new French double doors that open from the middle. We have high winds and we have had problems with the doors being pushed open and causing water damage. Is there a way to switch the door to an out swinging door instead of inswing.

It's possible to switch the doors from in swinging to out but it isn't an easy project.  Depending on the door you may be able simply remove the entire door and flip it around in the rough opening.

An easier solution may be to add surface mounted bolts.  They come in a variety of sizes, designs, and finishes.

Hello TiffanyH.  Welcome to the Community!

I like Adam's surface bolt solution.  Mounted top and bottom, with maybe a barrel bolt across the middle bracing the two doors together.  Those doors will not move.
