Building Materials

Answered

Is there a type of wood flexible enough to flex into a corner of a wall making a curved bow?

I need to build a structure which will allow me to hang a 24' painting on heavy paper across the corner of two walls. I can hang each end from the wall itself, but I need to create a bow structure which will curve across the corner so that the painting will hang on a curve instead of creased into the corner. I was thinking if there was a wood or metal material that was flexible enough that a narrow strip of it could be flexed, one end screwed to the surface of each wall, that it would create a natural curve. But I don't know what material would be able to do so without breaking.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

a strip of flat aluminum bar should be able to make that curve without breaking if the painting isnt too heavy

Thanks! I think I found just the right thing in using an aluminun carpet trim. I will need to test out ho strong it is or if I need to reinforce it somehow, but thanks for the tip!
