Is there any way to get home depot reciepts older than 2 years?

I had a burglary and many of my tools and my lawnmower were stolen. I was able to get receipts from customer service going back to 2014, but I need them back to about 2010. Does anyone know if home depot has this data? Surely they have it somewhere in their systems.

Hi TrentTompkins,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

At least for in-store, if the items were purchased on a will call....they can be traced for years using an internal application called a purge order retrival. This is typically done by a specialist or expediter at the store. They can be in various places, like the service desk at the front of your local Home Depot or in the kitchens or flooring departments.

For items bought not on a will call, it can be a bit trickier to track down. If you knew the issuing bank or card company where you made the purchases, that can be a good start. Something that old, over thousands of stores, and literally millions of transactions, you'll need to trace what card was used to target getting a receipt to find it quicker.

Your safest bet is to contact Home Depot's number directly at 1-800-HOMEDEPOT and speak to a representative who can see if they can assist you further.
