King sized bed plateform with hidden legs (ish) need help

what I have here is a king sized bed frame I would like to build. I have no problem assembling and building it with the exception of the legs. I am not sure what would be the best way to support them for a heavy memory foam king sized mattress

Hi Demetre and welcome to the community. I'm not sure whether or not the picture you posted is the frame you've bought or just the design you are headed in but the easiest way to hide the legs would be to extend the height of the frame sides.

For example if the side panels of the bed are 8" tall replace them with 1"x12".

As far as making sure the matters has adequate support I would say building a support frame out of 2"x would be the easiest thing to do. You could then finish the frame off with side panels of 1"x? boards or cabinet grade plywood and stain. Something like this.

One of our community members Paul posted some plans for a Queen sized platform with storage underneath awhile back that might also be of interest to you.

More info on it can be found in this thread about halfway down.

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to post em'.

Cheers,
