Laminate Flooring on wood wall

I have a 15' x 15' wall covered with tongue and groove knotty pine.  Can I cover it with a laminate flooring using the loctite adhesive and nailing method described.  I was told by a friend that it can only be applied over dry wall because the expansion properties of dry wall are close to the laminate.  Friend said the real wood expands and contracts too much and would cause problems.  Any concerns covering a wood wall this size without first covering with plasterboard?

Thank you.

Hello got2fish, and welcome to the Community!

This is a subject that I'm familiar with and wrote an article some years back, click here. In regards to concerns to the wood wall, I can't stress it enough, the wall must be completely flat, otherwise the laminate seams will look more pronounced.

I suggest using Liquid Nails as the adhesive, and after you have read my posting let me know if you have any questions, always glad to help.
