Light on ceiling fan does not work , possible bad wiring .

I have 2 wall switches controlling the on/off of my ceiling fan , ceiling fan light does not turn on , bulb has been replaced , light will still not turn on , Where is the wiring wrong ......with the wall switches , or up top where the ceiling wiring connects to the ceiling fan/light .

Hey fortyninerrob,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the community!

Before we get started with troubleshooting, I'm assuming you have 2 switches, one for the fan and one for the fan motor correct?

If you have 2 switches that are on opposite ends of the room, like 3 way wiring, then this is an entirely different setup.

The only real sure fire way to ensure everything is in working order is to check all connections (only after the power has been turned off first), as well as knowing if any changes were done to the switches/wires recently.

Either way, it will take good old fashioned inspecting wherever any wires powering up your fan are...this includes in the ceiling canopy and inside the junction box where the switches are.

Let me know your progress and if you have any further questions,
