Lights don't come on

I just installed a Defiant Daylight Adjusting Digital Timer.  I hooked up the white wire to get power to the timer itself, and I was able to program it.  However, my lights didn't come on at the programmed time, and I can't get them to turn on manually.  What did I do wrong?

Hey bskoff,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the community!

The timer you spoke of is the one shown/linked below, correct?

If you wired everything correctly per the manufacturers instructions, my only thought would be the type of bulbs that you used in them. While this type of timer is rated for energy efficient LED and CFL bulbs, you'll need to make sure that the bulbs are rated for photocell/timer programming, as some aren't.

If you have bulbs that are rated for timers/dimming, then disregard. In either case, update us with the type of bulbs you have, and we can dig deeper for a solution on your timers.

Regards,
Joseph
