Hello tbarilla!

Both tinting and adjusting colors to be slightly different are included in the price of the paint.

So, when you order a color, there isn't a separate bar code for tinting.

The bar code on the side of the paint can determines how much is charged at check-out and historically that price has included tinting.

Colors may often be adjusted slightly darker, but are much more difficult to adjust lighter.

Your local Paint Associate can help determine if an adjustment is possible.

This is one of the subtle advantages of going to Home Depot for your paint. Many paint stores charge for certain colors that contain large amounts  of the relatively expensive tints, usually the yellows and reds. HD has chosen to amortize the cost over all paint sold, rather than to penalize certain colors.

And, as Paul has said, your HD paint associate stands ready to alter paint colors free of charge. Of course, there are restrictions as to what is possible. Your paint associate can assess where you want to end up color wise, and if it is possible to get there.

Couldn't Agree More Ordjen!

This is a distinct advantage ... Behr and Glidden products are rated better by a well-known consumer rating service.

And, there is no charge for standard services, like tinting.
