My ceiling fan motor runs but the blades do not spin. Can this be fixed

The shaft that the blades are connected to is fixed to the rotor of the machine. One would assume that whatever keeps the blade assembly afixed to that rotor shaft has come loose. In a motor the rotor shaft is generally threaded on the end. The blade assembly is slid onto the rotor shaft and then a nut is tightened to lock it to the shaft. If the nut become loose then the rotor shaft will no longer be able to spin the blades. I think that if you just take it apart you will see something that is quite easily fixed. There may or may not be a nut to lock the blades to the shaft but some locking hardware is askew. Hope this helped...
