Painting A New FirePit

Hello everyone.

I just bought a new firepit (it wasn't that expensive) and some reviews say to spray 1 or 2 coats of high heat rustoleum right away to prevent rust.

How do I properly cure the rustoleum?

Thanks

Brian

Hello Bdaoust,

It’s really exciting to get new things for the yard. Most people just go right ahead and use them without reading the instructions or reviews. So I’m glad that you’re taking the precautions in order to maintain your fire pit. It will last much longer if it’s taken care of properly.

I found a really good video on the proper way to prep, apply and bake the High Heat RustOleum paint.

Here is the link that will take you to the RustOleum video.

I love sitting around the fire with a beverage and a group of good friends. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

I hope you have as much fun as I do with my fire pit.

Thanks again for joining the how to community.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I would love to help.
