Painting kitchen cabinets with Rustoleum kit

I will be purchasing the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations kit (Espresso) this weekend to paint my kitchen cabinets. I previously painted the cabinets in white.  Because it was previously painted, do I have to sand it or can I just use the deglosser only?  Also, since the cabinets are painted white, would I need to do more than 2 coats of the Espresso?  I really, really hope I don't run into any problems!!

Generally no sanding is neccessary. However, if some roughness or corruption got into the surface of the old paint job, certainly that can be first sanded out. The beauty of this product is that it raises little dust and does not render your kitchen totally out of service for the duration. Due to its low odor and quick drying, reasonable family life can continue through the process.

The two espresso base coats should be sufficient to blank out the old white finish.

Good luck!
