Patio flooring material to cover partially concrete, partially dirt

Hi there,

My outdoor patio in the back is partially concrete slab, partially dirt (with scarce plants slowly dying there).  I would like to have a nice area for peaceful rest that is almost an extension of my home: would be nice to walk out right from the living room onto the patio without a fear to get my feet dirty.  What is the cheaper material I can use to cover the concrete and the dirt?  Decking is not an option: too much work (removing the concrete) and too expensive.

Thank you very much for all the help!

Hi there Lana,

I’m Jen, from The Home Depot.  Welcome!

The perfect solution is Envirotile!  It can go right over your existing patio and it very easy to install.  Here is a link to lots and lots of information on how to install it right over your concrete slab.

Check out this installation video from one of my co-workers Joe.
