Peony is considered to be a pest free perennial. Its huge blooms stand out in any flower bed. Peony makes a great border plant as well as a specimen and cut flower. Peonies prefer a pH neutral soil so lime would help them some here in Georgia.

Peonies need some chill time and prefer to be planted in the fall as well as transplanting, as they just don't do as well when planted in spring.
