In tropical areas Plumbago makes a good hedge or even a container plant. Plumbago has great drought tolerance and they are deer resistant. Plant in a well drained somewhat sandy soil. This plant has truly blue flowers and has landed a spot on our list of plants with blue flowers.

There are dwarf varieties of Plumbago that Home Depot sells that are hardy in zones 6 to 10.
