Plant Policy

I read the plant policy online, but am trying to understand the plant guarantee as I don't see it published with details.

I purchased 10 plants in the fall and 2 of them did not make it through the spring.  Most likely it was my fault as I planted them in a drainage easement and the roots would not tolerate the spring water.

When I went to return the plants, I was told that I was only allowed to exchange the plants for the exact same plants; I could not get a refund or an in-store credit.   I ended up getting the same two plants again, because that was the only option, but I am rather sure they will die again.

So my question is...What is the official policy?  Are you only allowed to exchange the plants for the exact same plant if your plant dies?
