Re: Behr Premium Plus Venetian Plaster

I removed wallpaper from a bathroom and wall was in rough shape. Someone told me about venetian plaster so I thought I would give it a try. I put on 2 coats and it didn't look bad. I sanded it with 400 grit sandpaper and wiped down the walls. After it dryed out I noticed that in several spots it didn't fill in the grooves. I was wondering can you put on another coat since I sanded it or not?

Great Question GolfCollecting!

Venetian Plaster is a unique media that can be layered several times.

On The Community, we've seen great examples of multiple colors as well as multiple coats.

Go ahead and apply your repair for those areas ... spread generously around the spot, allowing the trowel to create random ridges. After the repair dries, use your earlier sanding technique but stop before you cut down into the repair.

In other words, have fun with it.

VP is designed to be randomly applied, so keep your technique unique!
