Replace one sliding glass metal framed door

Can we just replace one sliding glass metal framed door and not the whole unit? We're told our whole thing is a custom size and will be $5000 , but it's only the one door that refuses to slide that is the problem.

It may be possible to buy a new panel, you'd have to identify the manufacturer of the door and contact them.  It's also quite possible that the problem is just with the wheels on the bottom of the moving door and those typically can be replaced pretty easily.  Again, you'll need to identify the manufacturer of the door.

Hello SoCalSandy,

I agree with Adam444 that most panels can be replaced if you can figure out the manufacture and that manufacture is still in business. He is also correct that most door hardware can be replaced if you know the manufacture. Most have a track that is set into the threshold that can be removed and replaced plus the wheel assembly can and should be replaced at the same time. If both of those things are replaced the door should work much better.
