Ryobi Mower Issue

My Ryobi cordless mower turns off for now apparent reason. It restarts, but it get annoying. Is there a reason for this? Or is it just a product defect?

Howdy Vince67.

I would recommend first taking out the battery and cleaning out any debris that might be wound up on the blade shaft.

Next, there is a small bulb atop the fuse key that is actually a reset button. Try to reset and then see if that works.

The connections on the battery could be in question too. Take out the battery and clear any debris that might be on the battery connectors or the battery itself.

If there is a short in the motor circuits there may be an overload breaker that is being tripped.

Perhaps the bearing are seizing up which may explain the repeated intervals of overloads.

I would take the mower to the local Ryobi service center to better investigate what the problem could be if the above mentioned ideas do not fix your problem.
