Seeded lawn in Middle Tennessee

I reseeded my lawn last week with Pennington Sun and Shade grass seed.  It is starting to come up now.  I was wondering if I should apply winterizer fertilizer later this year and, if so, how long should I waitafter the reseeding to be sure the new grass is strong enough to handle the winterizer fertilizer.  Also, will it be safe to apply pre-emergent weed control fertilizer to this "new" lawn next February?

Howdy "WLPNCP",

Your Pennington Sun and Shade grass seed is fast becomming a sought after grass seed.

sw.JPG   The Winterizer can be applied after a couple of weeks,

The Halts should only be applied to lawns at least 6 weeks old.  Halts (168x287) (117x200).jpg

Remember, the Pre-Emergent (Halts), keeps seeds from germinating...so you don't want to apply to newly seeded lawns.

Happy Gardening,
