Sticking paper to Brick Wall

This weekend, I need to hang a tree made out of butcher paper onto an unpainted exterior brick wall just for one day. Is there any easy, very cheap way to do this?

Hello kristiLou!

When you think of adhesives, most would not allow you to remove the paper one day later without leaving residue.

The one exception that comes to mind is double-stick tape.

I would not recommend the interior grade tape that has a white foam core.

When trying to remove this tape, the foam tends to shred and leave both tape and foam residue on the surface.

Rather, try the exterior grade double-stick tape that has the gray rubber core.

Use small pieces around the perimeter of your paper tree and when done, simply peel the residue off the brick wall.

Since this is a high adhesion tape, I would only press firmly enough to hold your tree in place.

Pressing too firmly will attach the tape to the point that it may be difficult to remove.

So, apply tape every foot or two along the perimeter of your tree, then use a light touch to attach to the wall.
