Trending in the Aisles: GE Enbrighten Battery Operated Motion Activated LED Light

I earlier wrote an article on battery operated lighting, a great type of convenient light when and where you need it.

In this post, I'll go over the biggest brand out there for portable small lighting when you need it, GE.

A new product they have called Embrighten has made it easier to get the right amount of lighting where wiring would be impossible or too expensive to do.

In fact, you really never know where you need a little light until you've moved into a place. Whether it's basements or like in the image below at the stairs, having lighting isn't about illumination, it's also about safety.

Since it's so versatile, don't consider this just a light to stick on a wall. You can also use it as a hand-held flashlight, under cabinet light, or any time you need a quick light on the go, like for a meal on the patio with it's built in kickstand...

Since it's dimmable and is motion-activated (turns off automatically after no motion is detected after 5 minutes), that means you get the best control for it without draining the batteries for it prematurely.

After putting in 6 AA batteries, you can expect to get upwards of 300 lumens of light, which is a lot for a fixture this small. It's not a night light, it gives you a nice small task light where needed, such as a closet.

Also available is a similar model but without the motion activated sensor. It's shown below and you can read more about it by clicking here

Even if you don't need portable lighting now, this makes it a great choice for when storms arrive and the power is out. Since it has such a durable construction, it makes it ideal for even camping trips.

So, look no further than the GE Enbrighten if you want a small light at a good price that goes anywhere you want it to!
