Trending in the Aisles: LED 3-Way Light Bulbs

In an earlier post, I mentioned new LED light bulbs at your local Home Depot store.

One version that most folks don't realize we sell is one used frequently around the home, especially for table lamps in living and bedroom areas.

That would be the 3-way bulb. It gives you 3 levels of lighting without the benefit of a dimmer. While the incandescent versions are still available to buy, there's also the much more energy-efficient version in LED.

While another energy-efficient is still available in the market, the compact fluorescent version (CFL), but can be large and cumbersome to be placed in some fixtures that have small lampshades.

Enter the LED version of 3-way light bulbs. They are smaller than their CFL counterparts, and last much longer.

As of this post, we carry several versions that I'll briefly go over. As with any light bulb, always look for features such as color temperature (expressed in K, or Kelvin) and lumens so you can get the right bulb you need.

EcoSmart 100W Equivalent Soft White Dimmable 3-Way Light Bulb

This is the version shown the main image above. Since it's our own in-house brand, you'll get the same quality as the national brands of light bulbs, but at a fraction of the cost.

Plus, if you need more or they need replacement, you'll know you got them from us! And since this comes in a 2 pack, you'll be saving even more versus buying them individually.

Best of all, this will give you the same soft white appearance as its older incandescent versions.

Philips 40W/60W/100W Equivalent  3-Way Soft White Light Bulb

This version was the first LED 3-way light bulb sold in Home Depot's light bulb aisle.

Just like other types, they last over 20 years if used 2-4 hours a day.

Feit Electric 50.100/150 Watt Equivalent Soft White A19 3-Way LED Light Bulb

The final LED 3-Way light bulb is also the best priced one sold individually. So if you don't need an extra bulb, this one would be your best bet.

While there are other higher lumens and color temperatures available, these are the 3 main ones your local Home Depot store should carry in 3-way form.

Let us know if you have any further questions regarding LED or just lighting in general, and we will be more than happy to help.
