Wall Rendering!!!

Hi.  The stucco on my exterior wall ( foundation) is flaking off.  I've started to remove the damaged area which is roughly 20 X 7.  Underneath is the cement foundation.  What are my options for covering the wall (cement, portland cement, mortor, etc.)?  What are the differences of each?  I would like something that will last, provide the necessary protection, and is easy for a Do It Yourselfer like me.

Thanks!

You will have to clean the wall and make sure there isn't any mildew or algae present on the surface.  Using a pressure washer is the best way to effectively clean this surface.

Quikrete 80 lb. Stucco Finish Coat

Using a stucco patch is still the best way to fix the problem..But keep in mind that the problem exists due to moisture traveling through the surface.  You may want to consider a waterproofing paint before applying the stucco patch.

DRYLOK Extreme 1-Gal. Masonry Waterproofer
