What Happenned To The 10% Military Discount Post By Darren Ryan?

On November 9th, 2010 Darren Ryan who blogs for Home Depot posted a blog about how military people can get a 10% discount:

"The Home Depot offers a year-round, 10 percent discount, up to a $500 maximum, at our U.S. stores to all active duty military personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans and their immediate families. We offer this discount to thank them for their outstanding service to this nation and to help make their homes more comfortable and safe. Customers requesting the discount should present a valid military ID."

Why did this post dissapear and is is still a policy that is honored by Home Depot? Please elaborate.

Hi there jasonmadruga84,

I’m Jen, from The Home Depot.  Welcome to the community!

We do still offer military discounts with a valid military id.  I suggest you check with your local store for more information as some restrictions may apply.

Thank you for your service!
