What In The World Is a Magnetizer/Demagnetizer?

If you have ever tried to insert a wood or sheet metal screw at an odd angle or underneath a desk or table you know it is not easy as the screw always falls off the screwdriver. The solution, magnetize the screwdriver so the screw stays in place. How do you do that? Get a magnetizer/demagnetizer.

The magnetizer/Demagnetizer will add magnetism to almost any steel tool; screwdrivers, tweezers, tool bits, wrenches, etc. This allows the tool to hold onto the screw or bolt so it does not fall off.

Magnetizer/Demagnetizer

This sounds simple but it can make a very frustrating job a lot easier. We have all lost screws on the floor or on the carpet and it is usually the last one and we don’t have extras.

To use the magnetizer/demagnetizer simply insert the tool into the bottom slot of the magnetizer and slide it in and out to magnetize it. If you want to demagnetize the tool use the top slot to remove the magnetism, it that simple.

Even if you already own a magnetic screwdriver this tool can renew the magnetism as it fades over time. It is a handy and inexpensive tool that fits in your pocket.

The next time you visit your local Home Depot stop by the hardware department and ask for a magnetizer/demagnetizer, its tool worth owning.
