Hello Jim413,

Welcome to the community.

I would use Either Liquid Nails-Subfloor construction adhesive or Loctite PL Premium Advanced Polyurethane construction adhesive.

They will both work great for the application that you’re doing.

Just make sure that the wood is clean and clear of any loose particles so the adhesive will adhere properly. Both adhesives set in 15-20 minutes so make sure you do a dry run before you start to apply the adhesive and lay the plywood down.

You may want to use a flooring roller to make sure that the plywood is pressed down really good. Check with your local Home Depot tool rental they may have them to rent. They are meant for vinyl and linoleum sheet goods but since you are not using screws or nails you need to make sure that the adhesive grabs good.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I would love to help.

Thanks again for joining the How-to community.
