What kind of plastic is used to build the plastic sheds? Could someone elaborate on what type/kind of plastic is used to build specifically the walls?

Hi ankitshah96,

I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Community and thank you for asking.

The Home Depot sells some sheds that advertise themselves as Vinyl Sheds. Those are simple enough to identify the product in question.

Woodside 10 ft. x 8 ft. Vinyl Shed with Foundation and Window

Other sheds that we offer are less obvious as to their material makeup.

Rubbermaid describes their construction as "blow molded resin". Lifetime describes their construction as "high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic". Both buildings are reinforced with steel where necessary.

These buildings offer double walls and do insulate to some degree, although that degree will vary somewhat.

If you have a specific brand of shed that you need identified, post us again with that information, so we can get the information for you.

I look forward to hear from you,

Travis

Hi Ankitshah96,

Thank you for your question and welcome to our community.

The Rubbermaid Sheds are made from a cast resin and this includes the roof and the walls of the shed. The walls of the Rubbermaid sheds are double cast panels for strength and durability as well as having a UV protection added.

There are a number of other outdoor sheds available to you, depending on your area such as the Stronghold Sheds and the Suncast Sheds.  All of theses sheds are made of a resin composition.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
