What size Brad Nail for baseboard

I'm installing baseboards in my house and I need to know what size Brad Nail to use.

It depends somewhat on how thick the moulding is but if you're talking about  fairly common 1/2" thick moulding plus 1/2" of drywall, then at least 1 1/2" and closer to 2" would be better (more holding power).  If you're using a finish nailer, I would just shoot a 2" brad.  If by hand the shorter nail will be easier to drive.  If you are hand nailing, don't forget a nail set to countersink the nail heads.

Hello cesartracy, and welcome to the Community!

I agree with Adam, but I would suggest renting a air nailer from Home Depot if you are doing your entire house, this will make the project go faster and easier on your knees & back. Just go to the Tool Rental department at the store, you can rent the tools for a few hours, a day or a week.
