Window covering for a door with a half-window

I know this is a very standard door, and I'd like to investigate some kind of window covering for the top half, so that people can't see in at night.

The only criteria is that people walk by this door frequently every day, so I'd like it to be low-profile (close to the door) and fixed at both the top and bottom so that it's not constantly battered as the door opens and closes, and as people walk by it.

Can anyone offer me any suggestions on good options for this?

Here's an easy and inexpensive way to add some privacy:

A simple curtain rod is mounted above and below the window opening.  You may have to do some sewing, at least for the bottom pocket (or have someone do it for you).  The type of fabric and how it's gathered on the rods will determine the level of privacy.

Another option is to use simple blinds.

Some manufacturers offer clips that secure the bottom and keep the blinds from "flapping" around.
