Wobbly ceiling fan

I have an older ceiling fan in my bedroom (10+ years).  It has begun to wobble.  Is there any way to fix this?  It worries me for safety reasons.

Hey Anita:smileyhappy:

Usually when a ceiling fan becomes "wobbly" its due to a balance issue.  The first thing you want to do is make sure there isn't anything wedged or stuck on top of the blades - like a small animal (toy).  Even dust build up can cause the blades to get off balance.

With time - the blades may need some assistance in getting back in balance.  We have ceiling fan balancer kits that will help distribute the load span of the blades.

If you are talking about ten years,  you should start all over and take the fan down to make sure all the mounting screws are still tight.

than you can do the wobbly kit.
